Baku, candidate for WCS

The capital of Azerbaijan has formally submitted its candidacy for the World Capital of Sport for the year 2026.

In recent years, Baku has shown itself to be a clear benchmark for major sporting events and with this candidacy it wants to confirm its extraordinary position in the world of sports, not only high competition but also sport for all. A commitment to physical activity as a healthy lifestyle and well-being.
