ACES in MINEPS VII

A delegation of ACES EUROPE leaded by President  Gian F. Lupattelli, Secretary General Hugo Alonso and Board Member Andre de Jeu travelled to Baku (Azerbaijan) to take part in the seventh edition of the International Conference of Ministers and Senior Officials Responsible for Physical Education and Sport (MINEPS) organised by UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, since 1976.

MINEPS is a global forum for leading governmental and non-governmental stakeholders to develop future-oriented strategies which will help to use the benefits of physical education, physical activity, and sport for development. The programe FIT FOR LIFE was one of the main actors of the event which is UNESCO’s sport-based flagship designed to accelerate COVID-19 recovery, support inclusive and integrated policy making, and enhance the wellbeing of youth around the world. Powered by a global compact of partners, Fit for Life uses data driven sport interventions to tackle intersecting crises in physical inactivity, mental health and inequality.

ACES Europe also presented the new Policy Paper that UNESCO will publish soon for the World Sport Congress of Konya (World Capital of Sport) between 9 and 11th October for getting more inclusive cities through sport best practices from ACES’ network.
