UNWTO World Sports Tourism Congress in Madrid

ACES proudly participated in the 3rd World Sports Tourism Congress organized by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), held in Madrid across two iconic venues: Santiago Bernabéu and Cívitas Metropolitano stadiums, home to Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid, respectively.

The event brought together experts, leaders, and stakeholders in sports and tourism to discuss the pivotal role these industries play in economic growth and global promotion. Engaging debates and insightful conferences underscored how sports tourism continues to be a powerful driver of development and innovation worldwide.

As part of its participation, ACES took the opportunity to hold several high-level meetings with key figures, including the UNWTO Secretary-General, the Minister of Peru, and strategic partners such as the World Football Summit and GSIC (Global Sports Innovation Center).

This Congress marked the first collaborative initiative between ACES and the UNWTO, paving the way for a future cooperation agreement. It reflects ACES’ ongoing commitment to fostering partnerships that amplify the impact of sports and tourism on society, economy, and culture.

Madrid’s vibrant setting and the iconic backdrops of two legendary stadiums provided the perfect environment for exchanging ideas and building synergies, further solidifying the connection between sports and tourism on a global scale.
