Three candidates for the World Capital of Sport 2027

Porto-Gaia (Portugal), Buenos Aires (Argentina), and Santiago de Cali (Colombia) have been announced as the three candidate cities vying for the prestigious title of World Capital of Sport. By the end of January 2025, the two finalists that will compete for the title will be revealed, with evaluation visits scheduled for the first half of 2025. 

The city that will succeed Baku as the World Capital of Sport in 2027 will be announced before June 30, 2025.
