Sport as a tool for global development and inclusion
ACES had the honor of participating in a key meeting at the United Nations – Human Rights Agency, sharing its extensive experience in promoting sport as a driver of well-being, social cohesion, and sustainable growth. This engagement was part of the collective fight against all forms of racism and discrimination, reinforcing the power of sport as a unifying force for communities worldwide.
This extraordinary opportunity allowed ACES to present and exchange best practices from our Cities, Communities, and Capitals of Sport, showcasing how sport serves as a catalyst for positive change across the globe.
Among the distinguished representatives present, Alessio Di Maio represented ACES, actively contributing to the UNESCO Panel discussion on international sports policies. His participation highlighted the essential role of ACES in fostering inclusive and sustainable sports development on a global scale.
ACES remains committed to advocating for the transformative power of sport, ensuring that it continues to break barriers, inspire communities, and promote equality for all.
