Sofia World Capital of Sport 2024

The Bulgarian city has been declared World Capital of Sport 2024 after the visit of ACES Evaluation Commission. ‘Sofia has achieved again an extraordinary goal with the legacy as one of the most important values they have’ said Mr. Lupattelli, President and Founder of ACES Europe. The title of European Capital of Sport in 2018 increased the sport participation and this new recognition will bring for sure new targets and benefits for the whole population.

Sofia will be the next Word Capital of Sport after Konya in Turkey (2023), Madrid in Spain (2022), Guadalajara in Mexico (2020-2021) and Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirates (2019).
