San Juan, American Capital 2024

San Juan (Province) in Argentina, has been designated as the American Capital of Sport 2024 by ACES. A participation rate of nearly 80%, sports facilities and investments, national and international events held in the province, as well as social programs, have been the strong points that enabled San Juan to receive such a prestigious recognition.

In a ceremony attended by more than 3,000 people to inaugurate the new Velodrome Vicente Alejo Chancay, the Secretary General of ACES, Hugo Alonso, presented the designation to Governor Sergio Uñac in the presence of dignitaries, the Argentine Olympic Committee, and local residents.
