Participating in UNESCO Global Forum to promote inclusion through sport
During the 4th UNESCO Global Forum against Racism and Discrimination, held in Barcelona, ACES Board Member André de Jeu underscored the vital role of local governments in fostering social cohesion and creating inclusive cities through sport.
In his intervention, De Jeu highlighted how urban centers can lead the way in uniting communities by implementing policies that support marginalized groups. He also reaffirmed ACES’ dedication to using sport as a universal language to combat racism and discrimination, aligning with its mission to promote inclusion and diversity globally.
As part of this commitment, ACES proudly supported the launch of UNESCO’s Fit for Life Network Against Racism, a groundbreaking global initiative aimed at addressing racism in sports through campaigns, research, and advocacy.
This collaboration exemplifies ACES’ proactive approach to ensuring sport remains a tool for equality, dialogue, and unity.
