Opening ceremony in Erzurum
An expedition led by ACES Europe President, Gian Francesco Lupattelli, visited Erzurum, Türkiye, for the official opening of the European Capital of Winter Sports 2025. This significant event marks another milestone for both the association and the country.
Türkiye continues to strengthen its legacy within the ACES network, having previously hosted the European Capital of Sport in Istanbul in 2012 and the World Capital of Sport in Konya in 2023, among other recognitions.
The ceremony in Erzurum highlights the growing importance of winter sports and reinforces ACES’ mission to promote sports and healthy lifestyles across diverse regions.
