The city of Genoa marked the grand finale of its year as the European Capital of Sport 2024 with the spectacular event “Genova 2024 Festa.” This celebration highlighted the city’s remarkable achievements in promoting sports, culture, and community engagement throughout the year.

Held at the iconic Piazza De Ferrari, the event brought together local authorities, sports organizations, and citizens in a shared moment of pride and reflection. Genoa’s year as the European Capital of Sport has been a journey of inclusion, inspiration, and innovation, demonstrating how sport can be a powerful force for unity and progress.

As we look ahead to 2025, Genoa’s legacy as the European Capital of Sport will continue to inspire cities across Europe to embrace the values of sportsmanship, inclusion, and excellence. Next year 2025 the Capital will be Tallinn (Estonia).
