Funding opportunities presented ats the Erasmus+ Sport Info Day
ACES informs its members and the wider European sport community about the funding opportunities highlighted during the Erasmus+ Sport Info Day, held on 11 December 2025.
The event, organised by the European Commission and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), brought together around 570 participants on site and more than 6,000 online attendees, confirming its role as a key annual meeting for organisations interested in applying for Erasmus+ Sport funding.
During the Info Day, the European institutions presented the main policy priorities, key features and important novelties of the Erasmus+ Sport 2026 calls for proposals, providing valuable guidance for potential applicants preparing future projects.
A highlight of the programme was the interactive final session, in which the Erasmus+ community was invited to share its views on the forthcoming European Commission Communication “A Strategic Vision for Sport in Europe: Reinforcing the European Sport Model”. The discussion was based on preliminary findings from the recently closed public consultation and focused on priority areas such as volunteering, good governance, social inclusion, accessibility, and gender equality.
The event featured high-level institutional participation. Sophie Beernaerts, Director of EACEA, addressed sport stakeholders and moderated a panel discussion with European Commissioner Glenn Micallef, Member of the European Parliament Bogdan Andrzej Zdrojewski, and Vassos Koutsioundas, Acting Director of the Cyprus Sport Organisation. The panel provided further insights into the Commission’s proposal for the future Erasmus+ programme 2028–2034.
