On 19 November 2025, the EUAPPTIVE project marked an important milestone with two key events held in the City of Oviedo followed by TMP 5 meeting in the City of Gijón (Asturias, Spain), both events with very active role and participation of ACES Europe, as one of the partners of the project consortium.

Final Multiplier Event Oviedo

The day began in Oviedo, where the EUAPPTIVE consortium hosted its Final Multiplier Sport Event, celebrating the project’s results and the city’s recent recognition as European City of Sport 2026.

Participants discussed:

  • The role of innovation, technology, and public policy in active ageing
  • The participation of awarded cities in #BeActive Challenge 2025 in ACES GALA Ceremony to take place at the European Parliament premises on December 11, 2025.

Speakers included representatives from the City of Oviedo, ACES Europe, Southern Denmark University and Sport Innovation Hub. The event gathered institutions, sport organizations, sport clubs, sport federations and health-sport innovators from across Asturias.

Monitoring Meeting 5 Gijón

In the afternoon, the EUAPPTIVE partners met in Gijón for the fifth and final Monitoring Meeting, reviewing project progress and coordinating final deliverables as the project approaches closure.

Representatives from Sport Innovation Hub (Lead Partner), Vila Nova de Poiares,           Southern Denmark University (SDU), EUNIK and ACES Europe discussed:

  • Completion of the final deliverables (Quality Assurance Report, TPM5, Challenge Final Report, Final Communication Report)
  • Final #BeActive Challenge results with the strong engagement of 31 municipalities across Europe.
  • Dissemination deadlines, including ACES Europe’s upcoming ACES GALA Ceremony and publishing of ACES Annual Magazine (2,500 copies)

Partners agreed on the next steps and reporting timelines to ensure successful project closure by the end of November 30, 2025.
