European Commission proposes 50% budget increase for Erasmus+ (2028–2034)
ACES welcomes with great satisfaction the recent proposal by the European Commission to significantly reinforce the Erasmus+ programme within the framework of the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2028–2034. The proposed budget amounts to €40.8 billion, representing a 50% increase compared to the current allocation.
As one of the co-signatories of the joint statement in support of Erasmus+, ACES is proud to have contributed to this important achievement, alongside other key stakeholders from the sport and physical activity sector. The proposed increase reflects a strong commitment from the EU to promote education, inclusion, and wellbeing through mobility, cooperation, and sport.
This financial reinforcement will provide greater opportunities for young people, professionals, and organisations across Europe, ensuring that sport and physical activity continue to play a central role in shaping a healthier and more united Europe.
ACES reaffirms its commitment to supporting EU initiatives that foster cohesion, participation, and healthy lifestyles through sport.
Together, we are stronger.
