ACES was proud to participate as an official partner in the General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees, held last 12 and 13th June Budapest. Representing ACES at this prestigious gathering were Vice President Vincenzo Lupatelli and Secretary General Hugo Alonso.

The event brought together leaders from the Olympic Movement, including presidents and senior representatives of National Olympic Committees from across Europe, providing an excellent opportunity to strengthen institutional relationships and exchange ideas on the future development of sport, physical activity, and healthy lifestyles throughout the continent.

During the Assembly, the ACES delegation held meetings and informal discussions with numerous National Olympic Committee presidents, sharing the organization’s vision and ongoing commitment to promoting sport as a tool for social development, inclusion, health, and education. These encounters reinforced ACES Europe’s position as a key partner in advancing sport policies and initiatives at both local and international levels.

One of the highlights for ACES was the presentation of the commemorative 25th Anniversary plaque to the President of the European Olympic Committees. The gesture symbolized the strong relationship between ACES and the Olympic family and celebrated a quarter of a century dedicated to promoting sport and active lifestyles across Europe and beyond.

The Assembly also provided the opportunity for the ACES representatives to spend time with distinguished figures from the international sporting community, including Albert II, Prince of Monacoand Kirsty Coventry, President of the International Olympic Committee. These exchanges highlighted the shared commitment of sporting institutions to fostering participation, excellence, and the positive values of sport worldwide.

ACES continues to strengthen its collaboration with the Olympic Movement and international sporting organizations, reaffirming its mission to support cities, communities, and institutions in creating more active, healthier, and sustainable societies through sport.

As ACES celebrates its 25th anniversary, participation in events such as the European Olympic Committees General Assembly reflects the organization’s growing international recognition and its ongoing commitment to building bridges between local communities and the highest levels of global sport governance.
