Agreement with UN Tourism

A significant step was taken towards strengthening the link between sport and tourism as ACES and United Nations Tourism signed a agreement (MoU) at the UN Tourism Headquarters in Madrid.

The agreement was formalized by Ion Vilcu, Director of the Affiliate Members Department at UN Tourism, and Gian Francesco Lupattelli, President and Founder of ACES. Both organizations will work closely to promote initiatives where tourism and sport go hand in hand, leveraging their respective networks to foster active lifestyles, sustainable travel, and international cooperation.

This partnership opens the door to joint projects, knowledge exchange, and events that position sport not only as a driver of health and inclusion, but also as a key pillar of sustainable tourism.

ACES continues its mission of recognizing and supporting cities and regions that use sport as a tool for development, and this new alliance with UN Tourism represents a milestone in connecting physical activity with global mobility and cultural exchange.
