ACES strengthens international solidarity through sport and cooperation
Through its collaboration with the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and Red Deporte, ACES supports the delivery of sports clothing and equipment to community programmes in Africa, Colombia and Spain.
For ACES, the power of sport extends far beyond competition and recognition. It also means working with partners to support communities and create opportunities for people facing difficult circumstances.
This commitment is reflected in a series of cooperation and donation initiatives involving sports clothing and accessories provided by the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
Antonio Garde has played a key coordinating role, acting as the link between the Federation and Red Deporte to help make these deliveries possible.
The cooperation also includes actions in Quelimane, Mozambique, recognised as an African City of Sport in 2025.
The programme information provided by Red Deporte records deliveries across several countries between 2023 and 2026. In Sierra Leone, approximately ten boxes of sports equipment were transported in two consignments during 2023 and 2024 to support a programme for boys from some of Freetown’s most disadvantaged neighbourhoods.
In Colombia, equipment delivered in 2024 supported the Salesians’ Don Bosco centre in Medellín, where sport and life skills guidance are used in programmes addressing violence and substance use prevention.
In Zambia, donations reached City of Hope in 2024, supporting education and vocational training for girls and young people from disadvantaged areas of Lusaka. Further deliveries in 2025 and 2026 supported Action for Children Zambia, a local NGO working with children living on the streets.
In Tanzania, Red Deporte and Agrónomos sin Fronteras transported three suitcases of equipment in 2026 for a joint project in Iringa combining basic food assistance and sport. In Spain, donations between 2024 and 2026 supported Red Deporte’s social programmes in Madrid’s Barrio del Pilar and at CAPI Vallecas, as well as activities in nearby schools.
“We are proud to see cooperation translate into practical support for communities. These actions express the values we defend at ACES: solidarity, inclusion and the belief that everyone should have opportunities to participate in sport,” said Gian Francesco Lupattelli, President and Founder of ACES.
ACES thanks the RFEF, Red Deporte, Antonio Garde, the volunteers and the local organisations whose collaboration has made these initiatives possible.
