ACES signs MoU with Special Olympics Italia to promote inclusive sport

On 9 November 2025, in Rome — during the annual meeting of Special Olympics Italia with regional and territorial delegates — ACES Italia formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Special Olympics Italia.

The agreement, signed by the Presidents of both organisations, marks the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at using sport as a tool for social inclusion — with special attention to people with intellectual disabilities.

Through this new collaboration, joint projects will be developed in territories awarded by ACES Italia, encouraging integrated activities, dialogue, and direct involvement of local administrations. Both organisations commit to participating in each other’s institutional events, reinforcing a national network grounded on shared values of equality, participation and social cohesion.

“We are proud to launch this collaboration with Special Olympics Italia,” said Vincenzo Lupattelli, President of ACES Italia, “because it represents a concrete step toward spreading a truly inclusive sports culture, capable of valuing every individual and generating a positive social impact in our territories.”

With this agreement, ACES Italia and Special Olympics Italia reaffirm their commitment to promoting sport as a common good and as a lever for collective growth.
