Taipei, World Capital of Sport candidate for 2019

Wednesday 31st of January Taipei (Taiwan, China) has presented in Brussels its candidature as World Capital of Sport for 2019, the new title developed by MDP International and ACES Europe all around the world.

Taipei, with a population of 2,7 millions inhabitants as a high profile center for hosting big sport events, with an extraordinary sport infrastructures and with almost the 90% of the citizens active, has all the ingredients to be a great candidature.

New cities want to compete for this prestigious award against Taipei and will deliver soon the letter of intention. Istanbul, Doha and a couple of municipalities in South America want to apply.
