RIDE 2020 UK against COVID

ACES UK President, Michelle Vorel-Adams created this great idea that will start from 12th May, International Nurse Day.

What
A cycle activity based on the ‘one form of exercise per day’ lockdown restriction for 30 days (12/05 to 10/06)
Total distance to be completed is 2020km – to mark the pandemic year 2020 (Covid-19 year)
To be undertaken by two cyclists from one household – each covering 1010km – keeping to ‘lockdown’ rules
Aim is to raise at least £2020 for the NHS (Royal Stoke Hospital) – specifically the UHNM Charity

Why
To raise funds and help to buy kit for the NHS (Royal Stoke Hospital) in response to the Covid-19 crisis
30 days to celebrate and bring some positivity for each of the 30 ACES Europe awarded destinations (European cities, towns, communities of sport) in 2020.

How
Daily cycle from Sphere Connect HQ at Church Leigh, Staffordshire to JCB HQ at Rocester, Staffordshire with RIDE 2020 featuring the circuit route of the ‘main’ lake at JCB
Distance of 7mls to JCB HQ and back, with 7mls of circuits around the lake
Total distance of 21mls x 2 riders per day, so 42mls x 30 days = 1,260mls (2020km)

When
May 2020 – 01/05 to 30/05 each day then 31/05 presentation and kit delivery to UHNM (Royal Stoke Hospital)

Who
Michelle Adams (Founder) and Phil Fortun – Directors of Sphere Connect Ltd

Let’s applause the initiative, support it and wish all the best to raise as much funds as possible.
