Opening ceremony in Ruse

The municipality of Ruse (Bulgaria), European City of Sport 2016, held on February 19 the opening ceremony to kick off a year full of activities. The mayor of the municipality accompanied by the president of ACES Europe, the MEP Andrey Kovatchev and Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Sports hosted a day in which was presented an extensive program of activities, the logo that will preside over all events and objectives for this 2016 among them increased sports participation.
Children and sports celebrities from Ruse accompanied the guests in an intimate ceremony, which marks the beginning of the calendar of activities of Ruse as European City of Sport in Bulgaria picking up the baton from Plovdiv (2014) and Burgas (2015). Remind that Sofia will be the European Capital of Sport 2018 and there are now many events and promotional activities being carried out in the capital.
