The Czech city of Ostrava has recently been awarded as European City of Sport 2014. The Evaluation Committee composed by the President of ACES Europe, Gian F. Lupattelli, the ACES Europe representative in the Czech Republic, Lukas Vorel, the ACES Europe representative in Brussels, Eduardo Balekjian, and the ACES Europe representative in Ireland, Kevin O'Connor, gave the ok to the city during the visit highlighting its commitment to the sport for all withexemplary facilities and programs of activities where the participation of all audiences is guaranteed.
Ostrava thus becomes the first Czech town to receive this prestigious recognition as only Nachod had been awarded by ACES Europe but in the category of European Town of Sport. "In the Czech Republic is holding a sports policy of high standards and professionalism" Lupattelli highlighted in the press conference.
