ACES Europe and the International Chess Federation (FIDE) have signed in Valencia an agreement for the development of the program “Chess in the Schools” in all the cities awarded by ACES. This is a project developed by FIDE which is very interesting for the different educational programs as improvement of the intelligence of the students in Primary schools. Gian F. Lupatteli, Preident of ACES Europe and Kirsan Iliumnzinov, President of FIDE, were the protagonist of the signature. This agreement provides the creation of European CIS Towns (CIS chess in schools), as part of the European Cities of Sport Award.
After signing, the Agreement was followed by dinner during which the true spirit of cooperation was evident with satisfaction for all: President Lupattelli officially handed over the invitation to FIDE for the next ACES EUROPE event on 6 November 2013 to be held in the European Parliament, to which the President Iliumzinov replied inviting him to visit Moscow and the sports sector of the city.
