16-03-17.- DG Education, Youth, Sport and Culture of the European Commission organised the EU Sport Forum in St Julian's, Malta, on 8 and 9 March 2017.
The Forum is the main platform for structured dialogue between the European institutions and sport stakeholders. Its main objective is to take stock of progress achieved in implementing the EU agenda for sport and to seek stakeholders' views on current, planned or possible future activities.
ACES Europe was there as every year and also took part in the European Week of Sport meeting as founder partner in where the final dates for the future will not change anymore from 23 to 30th September.

14-03-17.- ACES Europe has witnessed the recent signing of the collaboration agreement between the European City of Sport Alhaurín de la Torre in Málaga and the Community of Molenbeek-Saint Jean in Brussels in collaboration with the Real Madrid Foundation and the Belgian sports school Fire Gym
Alhaurin de la Torre and Molenbeek-Saint Jean, one of the 19 municipalities that make up the region of Brussels, capital of Belgium, ratified a collaboration agreement in the Parliament of Brussels and in the Town Hall of that district for the promotion of integration Social activity based on activities of a primarily sports and cultural nature, also aimed at promoting tourism.

08-02-17.- The swimming championship of European Sport Capitals, Cities, Towns, Communities called "European Swim City 2017", the first swimming event that ACES EUROPE means to organize every year from now on.
The swimming meet organized by ACES EUROPE, in cooperation with MSP (Sport Popular Movement) and SPORT VILLAGE, the patronage of the Italian Swimming Federation and CONI, will take place in Pesaro (Italy) on Sunday July 2nd 2017 at the Swimming Sports Centre of "Parco della Pace", equipped with an Olympic pool, view video presentation on www.swimcity.it

27-01-17.-The multi-purpose stadium in Gondomar was full at the opening ceremony as European City of Sport 2017. For more than two hours, the public enjoyed a show of light and color very applauded and praised.
The show, inspired in the four elements of nature: earth, air, water and fire, highlighted the wealth of the city, its people and permanently established a parallel with some of the sports practiced in Porto.
Marco Martins, mayor, said that the concession of ECS Gondomar was achieved "because we had the ambition and because we deserve it", and a "new challenge: the fight to be the Best European City of Sport 2017" was established.
The opening ceremony was also attended by the President of ACES Europe, Gian Francesco Lupattelli, and the Secretary of State for Youth and Sport in Portugal, Joao Paulo Rebelo.

18-01-17.- On 14 January, Marseille became a focus of attention with Reb Bull's Crashed Ice, a spectacular ice-skating event that opened the 2017 European Capital of Sport. A parade in the port before the event ended at the gates of the Town Hall where the mayor Gaudin officially inaugurated the 365 sports that lie ahead.
Subsequently and at dusk a beautiful fireworks display illuminated the city before the competition on an ice mountain built whimsically from the top of the Intercontinental Hotel to the same vieux port.
