Banska Bystrica replaces Kosice

Slovakia maintains its high level asEuropean City of Sport with Banska Bystrica which replaces Kosice in 2017 who holds the title today.
The new city has demonstrated with exceptional facilities, a full program of activities and a high percentage of active population its sports category for the tittle.
“This is the beginning of a sports policy quality the will improve in 2017 and continue beyond next years,” said Banska Bystrica Mayor, Jan Nosko.
The Evaluation Committee of ACES Europe visited the Slovak city last June and scored favorably to BB, which will be in 2017 new European City of Sport.
