Abu Dhabi visit

At the beginning of October a Evaluation Commission visited Abu Dhabi for the inspection of the city as finalist for the award World Capital of Sport, for the year 2019. A bid in between the municipality from UAE and Taipei (Taiwan, China).

The inspectors were really impressed with the facilities that Abu Dhabi showed to them but even more with some best practices that they do as for example the usage of Yas Marina circuit during the week in free basis for running and cycling of the local population with more than 7.000 participants every seven days.

‘This new project of the World Capital of Sport emphasizes the importance of what outside Europe is currently doing in term of sport for all and what a very good best practices would be imported and shared within the network of cities we have’ says President of ACES Europe, Gian F. Lupattelli.
